Ekaterina Khramkova, founder of Russian design research and product development consultancy Lumiknows was featuring in a business daily Vedomosti publishing together with The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. The article called «How to research a mop» raises issues of product design and development industry in Russia.
The publication in a section «History of success» is dedicated to career of Ekaterina and her path to establishing Lumiknows – the first in Russia design consultancy which has integrated design research into the process of new product development. Projects fulfilled by Lumiknows for Danfoss, Renault, Philips and Moscow metro are mentioned in the paper.

The article by CEO of Russian design research consultancy Lumiknows Ekaterina Khramkova published in an influential in Russia magazine "Strategic Management" of Grebennikov Publishing House is featuring a new strategic role design plays in the New Economy of Creativity and Innovation when a new product development process is no more as it was before. It analyses why design thinking has become a crucial issue to tackle tacit knowledge both inside and outside companies.
The second part of the publication is dedicated to the history case of collaborating IDEO with its first Russian client telecommunication company Vympelcom (brand Beeline) in the area of service innovations. The case is based on research conducted by Ekaterina both in London and in Moscow in 2006, including interviewing key managers in the both countries and aimed at identifying the most important issues of completing design research for the Russian market.

The article published in St.-Petersburg magazine Designform is a continuation of design research work conducted by Ksenia in the area of future living environments.
Approaching future living conditions from a systemic point of view, Ksenia discusses how architecture, furniture, interiors will change following evolution of the relationships 'man - technology - environments'. As the Nest project developed by Ksenia demonstrates, in the future, man's possibilities will not depend on his/her physical location and it is not people, not even technologies, but places will adapt to people's needs. Continuing in some way philosophy of Ambient Intelligence concept developed by Philips, the Nest project is a Russian approach to solving the challanges humanity meets in its development today.

The publication is featuring Russian design research consultancy Lumiknows established by Dr Ekaterina Khramkova as the first Russian company moving into non-traditional for Russian design areas: strategy, research, foresight, trends forecasting, cross-cultural studies.
The case study of the first design research project dedicated to the Russian market for Samsung Electronics which was organized and led by Ekaterina is at the base of the publication.

S.-Petersburg design magazine published an article of Lumiknows’s designer Ksenia Yakunitcheva dedicated to research project conducted by Ksenia in the sphere of inclusive design. At the core of the project entitled ‘Living space of the future’ are such issues as ambient intelligence, mobile environments, adaptable living spaces. Though the research is dedicated mostly to disabled people, its concepts my be easily adapted to people with no physical restraints.
